Work in Escher's Style

This is a cross between 'Relativity' and 'Waterfall', set in a cross between the shops in my home town, and a block of flats in Milan, Italy.

Work Based on Escher's Premises

ie. Taking an optical illusion, finding a landscape that looks a bit like it, and painting it. In this case, the illusion is 'Frazer's Spiral', and the landscape is a spiral staircase at Middleham Castle, N. Yorks.
Here, the alley next to my house and the 'Cafe Wall Illusion' were combined to produce this biro and watercolour image.
